My boys!

Good afternoon everyone,

How are you all today?  I have been busy busy busy trying to get ahead with my DT projects and have been neglecting the housework! Is that ok? lol  I do have a quick layout to show you though.  These are my boys (hubby and son). They love to sit on the rocks at the beach. Personally, i shake from fear whenever i go near them so i tend to stay on level ground and take the snaps!  My son was fascinated with what was at the bottom of the rocks (sand or water?) lol

Paper: DCWV collage musings stack pack
Die cuts: Tim Holtz
Inks: Tim Holtz distress ink - walnut stain & Tattered Angels glimmer mist -meadow green.
Embellishments: K &Company -
dragonfly and butterfly

Thank you for dropping by to visit and a big warm welcome to my new followers.

Take care

Origami shirt

Good evening crafters,

I hope you are all well.  Tonight i want to share with you a card i made for one of my Paper Lane DT projects using the DCWV Collage Musings stack pack. When i saw this 'measuring tape' paper i knew i had to make a masculine card with it.  The origami shirt was made using paper from the same stack pack.  I made this card into a Birthday card but it could just as easily be a Father's Day card.

And a close up:

Paper: DCWV Collage Musings stack pack, brown card stock and cream card base
Inks: Tim Holtz (Walnut stain) distress ink
Sentiment: Stampin UP! birthday wishes
Tools: Close to my Heart distressing tool
Adhesives: glue stick, double sided tape and dimensionals
Brads & large paper clip

Thank you all for visiting.

Bo Bunny layout

Good evening crafters!

Today, i have another inspirational layout to share with you all. I seem to be making just as many layouts these days as cards and i am having fun trying out some new techniques and using these gorgeous papers and embellishments. For this layout, all the papers are from the Bo Bunny Country Garden collection. The chipboards are by Dusty Attic and the inks are Tim Holtz distress ink and Tattered Angels glimmermists. I also used Ranger 'bridal' embossing powder to give the chipboard some extra sparkle and an EK Success heart border punch.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Echo Park layout

Good afternoon all,

This is my second post for today and it is a layout.  The layout i promised to show you on Friday and forgot to post! If you want to see my 'baby girl' card for today, please scroll down.

As for the layout, i actually made it whilst i was attending Iris Babao UY's workshop last week.  I must admit, when i first saw this, gesso/ripped muslin technique i had my reservations.  It is nothing like my 'normal' style but hey ho, i gave it a go and it has grown on me! lol  It is great to share techniques and learn from others and i sure did learn a few new tricks of the trade.   I love this Echo Park paper collection too, it is ideal for masculine layouts.

What do you think? Would love to hear your comments...

Challenges i would like to enter:

Baby Girl

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all having a great weekend.  We went to Dreamland Aqua park yesterday and had a great family day out.  The water was sooooooooooooooo warm, it was hotter than bath water!  Adam was so relaxed in the pool, i thought he was going to fall asleep at one point! He kept saying ''Mummy, lets just stay here forever, it is so much fun!''  I guess another trip to the aqua park is on the menu for a later date.

Anyway, enough about me, onto important things........... cards!  Last week i was delighted to find out that i won the Pile it On challange (Two or more folds) with my waterfall card.  My prize was $10.00 to spend at the Digi Doodle Shop.   So i choose a few digis and this is the card i made using the 'Baby Girl' digi.

Just Inspirational Challenges Week 32

Good morning all,

I hope you are all having a good day and looking forward to the weekend.  For me, the weekend starts tonight (the weekends in Dubai are Friday and Saturday!).  But before i get any ideas, or crafting urges, i have a long 'to do' list to get through... urgh!

But first, let me tell you about the new challenge over at Just Inspirational Challenges.

This week's sponsor is the fabulous ............ Bugaboo! I just love Bugaboo stamps, dont you?

The winner will win 7 digis. Is that not fantastic?

This week the inspirational photos were chosen by Kelly S and there are two photos for you to choose from.  You can use one or both and can interpret them anyway you wish.

Unfortunately, I do not have a card for this weeks challenge as it is Design Team A's week but i will be back later with a fun layout that i made at the Iris Babao UY workshop last weekend.  If you need some more inspiration, you can view the other DT's creations over at Just Inspirational Challenges.

Thank you for dropping by.  Catch you all later.

Scrapbooking with Iris Babao Uy

Good morning everyone, i hope you are all having a great weekend.

I was lucky enough yesterday to attend a 'techniques' workshop here in Dubai by the fabulous Iris Babao UY.  If you are not familiar with her work, you have got to check out her blog

Anyway, i spent the day crafting away with some lovely ladies, the sun shining through the windows, learning a few new techniques, enjoying a day to myself, a lovely lunch, a Bo Bunny prize in the raffle and oh, did i mention the delicious cupcakes that we had too? :)

So do you want to see what i created? Really? lol

Here is the first layout i made using Bo Bunny's 'Country Garden' Collection ..............

Thank you for visiting.  If you leave a comment, it will let me know who had been to visit me and i can visit you too. :)
