Waterfall card

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you are all still enjoying the sunshine and hope you had a great weekend. I have been experimenting in the craft room!  I was actually blog hopping a couple of days ago and saw a waterfall card and was inspired and just knew that i had to have a go myself.  A few pieces of cardstock, some Alla Prima paper, a Hero Arts flower stamp and sentiment, a bit of Tim Holtz distress ink here and there and voila, here is my card.

It is not the best card design to take photos of.  Obviously, it would be ideal to show you a video of it opening and closing and if i am brave enough, i will upload one later on tonight!  For now, i have a few piccies for you :)

Here it is as i start to pull the tag to open it:

This is it will the tag full entended and the sentiment printed inside on display:

Just Inspirational Challenges Week 30

Good morning crafters!

How are you all today? I must apologise for not posting in the last few days, my camera is broken!  So far i have 3 cards and a father's day project i need to take photos of.  How frustrating is that! :(

Anyway, for now i need to let you all know about the new challenge over at

The sponsor this week is the wonderful
Lily of The Valley.

Here is the inspirational photo.  You can interpret it any way you chose.
It is Design Team A's week to provide you with the inspiration so i don't have a card for you but you can view the other DT's creations over on Just Inspirational Challenges blog.

I hope to be back with a new post and a card (or two) in the next few hours or so.

Until then, take care and have a good day.

Paper Lane's 6th Birthday

Good evening/morning all,

Well i say evening/morning because for most of you it will be evening but here it is 2 am! Yes, i am still up, pacing the floor with some buttered toast and a coffee because i cannot sleep, yet again! My eyes are tired but my mind is not! :(

Anyway, i thought i would let you know what is happening over at Paper Lane.  As you all know i am a proud DT member of Paper Lane and their shop is absolutely beautiful. Full of the latest tools, papers, stamps, accessories that any card maker or scrapbooker could wish for.

Next week will be their 6th Birthday and they have many exciting things going on.  The fabulous Iris Babao UY will be flying into Dubai to carry out some workshop classes based on layouts, albums, colour and texture techniques (which i am so excited about attending).  Hoping to learn a few tricks of the trade! ;)

Paper Lane is also having a giveaway to 3 lucky winners which i would really really love to win. All you need to do is log into Facebook, like Paper Lane's page, like their post and tell them that i (Jill Ahermouch) referred you.  It's as easy as that! Please take a minute to share some love for   Paper Lane.  Their facebook page can be found here: Paper Lane Facebook Page

Thank you all for dropping by.  I am off to get some well deserved 'shut eye' now, i hope! zzzz

   Best wishes

Thinking of You

Good evening crafters!

I hope you are all well.  Did you have a good weekend and a happy 'National Scrapbooking Day' yesterday?  I visited my local scrapbook shop Paper Lane and bought a couple of goodies so today i have a new card for you using my new Prima Collection papers- Alla. I also bought some Kraft card bases for a little change (i normally use white or ivory).

All papers and embellishments are made using this Prima paper collection.  I made the flower using a scalloped punch and the eyelet in the tag was made using a We R Memory Keepers cropadile. The distress ink was Tim Holtz walnut stain. The sentiment is by Paper & Such and the butterfly was a Tonic punch.

Unfortunately, the colours did not come out very well in this photo.  The tag and butterfly are actually a beautiful pale green colour.

Thank you for dropping by. Until the next time, take care.

Best wishes,

Just Inspirational Challenges Week 27

Good morning all,

I hope you are all ready for a new challenge over at Just Inspirational Challenges. This week the challenge is sponsored by Kenny K.

We have a photo inspiration and a sketch for you this week.  You can use both for your inspiration or just one.

Here is my card:

I was lucky enough to receive this fabulous digi from Kenny K.  Just perfect for a little man to give to his Daddy for Father's Day don't you think?   I printed the image on white cardstock, coloured it with Copics and coloured the background with Tim Holtz broken china distress ink.   The sentiments are printed from my PC.  The ribbon is from my stash.

CAS

Good evening all!

I hope you have had a great day. I have been working on a few DT projects lately so my posts are few and far between but i do have a little inspiration for you tonight.

I actually left this card blank simply because i couldn't decide what i wanted to put on it! Now, it can be used for a birthday, thank you, just because, thinking of you, anything! The papers are from We R Memory Keepers Cotton Tail paper pack and Me to You Spring Chic paper pack. The little ribbon sticker is by Kioshi. I made the flower using part of a Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, some punched scalloped circles, and a button. The heart border is an EK Success border punch. The edges of the flower and leaves were distressed with walnut stain distress ink. The leaves were made using a Hero Arts flower stamp set.

Challenges entered:
